Zayda is from our second litter at High Caliber; a wonderful breeding between our lovely Terra and the fabulous Aquilo. She impressed me from the beginning with her affectionate, lively, and confident personality. Every feeding time, she would come to me for hugs and kisses before joining her littermates to eat and whenever she ran and played, her fluid movement was captivating. She was game to go anywhere and try anything new. I just had to keep this girl!

 

My decision to keep her was set in stone when we traveled to Canada for the Shiloh National show and, at a mere 12 weeks old, Zayda won Best Puppy in National. I showed her three more weekends as a puppy, earning 15 Best of Breed Puppy and 10 Best In Show Puppy wins. At the age of 6 months, we showed one day and earned two Winners Bitch and one Best of Winners, giving Zayda her first points towards her conformation championship.

 

After completing a primary puppy class, Zayda is continuing with an agility class. Because of her young age, we do not do jumps or weave poles, but she is enjoying tunnels, steps through the tire, and is learning the contact obstacles. At home, she is still insistent on a daily game of fetch and likes to make up her own games, such as repeatedly taking a ball to the top of the stairs and rolling it down.

 

Zayda is growing into a lovely young lady with beautiful movement, excellent structure and good bone. She is a friendly, active, and intelligent girl who everyone, be it adults, children, or other dogs, seems to like. We are very proud of our charming lass and look forward to seeing what she can achieve.
